Walshie continued his recent great form and continued to prove he is a match for anyone. The East Midlands Blue Square Championships became title number 2 in 2009 for Mark Walsh.

Mark Walsh made a sensational comeback against Raymond Van Barneveld to claim his second PDC Title of 2009. The 5 times Champion of the World raced into a 4-0 lead vs Walshie in the Final. Mark Walsh then produced stunning darts to claw back the lead and eventually claim the title with a thrilling win.

Walsh kicked off what would be his victory campaign with a 6-3 win over Joey Palfreyman in Round 1. Chris Mason was next to lose to Walshie as he went down 6-2 in Round 2. Colin Osbourne went out to Walshie in a deciding leg by 6 legs to 5 in Round 3. In the Last 16 Walshie beat Kevin Dowling 6-4.

The Quarter Final saw Walshie knock out Co Stompe 6-2 and the Semi Final saw Walshie dispatch Ken Dobson 6-2 to set up a Final vs Van Barneveld.

Despite the Dutchman racing off to a flyer and leading 4-0, Walshie stormed back and won the next 5 legs to go into the lead. Barney set up a decider by winning the 10th leg only for Walshie to claim the title by going out on 80 in the final leg.
