Walshie continued his relentless form of late by claiming a Fouth title in 2009 by claiming the German Darts Trophy in Dinslaken. Andy Hamilton was the latest player to lose to Mark Walsh in a PDC Final.

Walshie received a Bye in Round 1 before beating Didier De Vuyst 6-1 in Round 2. Dennis Smith was thrashed 6-0 in Round 3 by Walshie next. Steve Beaton faired no better as Walshie completed a second successive whitewash with another 6-0 win to storm into the Quarter Final.

An equally impressive 6-2 win over Gary Anderson sent Walshie on to the Semi Final. Ronnie Baxter could not halt Walshie as Mark won a thriller 6-5 to set up another Final.

Andy Hamilton stood in Walshie's way as he tried to claim an impressive 4th title of the year. Walshie came from 4-2 down to lead 5-4 before the Hammer sent the match into the final leg. The Hammer had first chance when he missed Double 7 for a 122 Finish, Walshie stepped in to nail the winning double and claim that 4th win of 2009.
